so long alaska

I love Alaska. However, life continues and just because we don't live in the same place anymore doesn't mean we don't hold a deep place for it in our hearts. I'm back in Minnesota temporarily until the next home for me. Transitions used to be an evil term for me. No longer is this the case. Transitions should be seen as the next step of many in ones life. I look forward to a new life on the African continent. Come join me...

photos from summer

So here's some photos from Summer. Summer is officially over and winter is beginning in Alaska. I finally have internet in the condo via ethernet. However, I only have it in Moosu's room for now and have no real seating in there. So I will post more once I get my wireless and can sit comfortably and post...

Augustine the volcano, photo taken from the porch of our cabin on Windhorse Ranch. Homer, AK

Augustine as seen through Cow Parsnips.

Beowulf on the aforementioned porch on the cabin.

Beowulf swimming in the ocean. His favorite place to be, Bishop's Beach in Kachemak Bay. This is now only a block away from the condo.

Beowulf in the cabin on his old bed with his "bebie" hedgehog.

Bishop's Beach.

Beowulf shaking off at Bishop's Beach. He's lost so much weight this summer, 15 pounds actually, however, he's gained a lot back in muscle. He's gotten so strong now, it's kind of a problem. He can jump higher and higher each day. He takes stairs six at a time now. He was a naughty boy tonight while I was at the debate and decided to eat all the remaining Ghiradelli chocolate in the cupboard...

myself and Katlin on our Homer bar tour. This was taken after drink three or four at Kharacters.

Katlin and I at the Salty Dawg...

Debbie and Katlin at Alice's...

Sunset from the cabin.

Nate at Alice's.

Another sunset from the cabin.

Tala and Nate at Alice's.

Another gorgeous sunset on Ohlson Mountain.

And another...

and another...

Katlin and I at Alice's....

So I've been pretty sick this week. Got a lot of internal stuff going on, stomach flu, etc... No fun at all. Been catching up on all the season premiere's: The Office, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Gossip Girl, House, etc... As usual, they are all kind of disapointing with one exception, The Office.

Watched the debate (VP) at the Homer Movie theatre and was disappointed about how well Sarah did. We democrats and liberals really need to stick together and get out the vote this time around folks.

Moosu just freaked out because he was concerned about an earthquake. He often thinks the washing machine is creating an earthquake and freaks out and runs around all over the place. However, when the real deal happens, he just sleeps. Lol.

Hope everyone is well.

Cheers and Peace.
